Review: Paprika Dress

Hi All!!

I was offered the chance to be gifted an item from the new Paprika range at Rare Fashion to review for you guys. I decided to choose something different to what I usually wear again and went for this....

One sleeve dress

It arrived very quickly and I was so excited when I saw the packaging, this is a bonus from Rare as you always know if your order has arrived when you see this bag....

I wore it out last night to an engagement party and its so floaty and flirty and very comfy to be out and about it. I teamed it up with a waist belt and shoe boots to add that something extra to it....

This photo actually makes it look huge on me and if I had of tried it on in store I might have ordered it a size smaller but this was a size 8 already that I did order and lets face it i'm no size 6. I'm not too sure whats going on with the sizing?! But I can assure you it didn't look ridiculous on me, I had taken a photo when it first arrived...

The shoeboots I wore.....

The downside of this dress is that now that it's Winter I had to wear a coat and ear muffs too hehee....

What do you think?

My last day at Boots: Leaving Gifts!

Hi All!!

I had my last shift at Boots last week Sunday after seven years of service!!! It was an emotional day but it had to be done as I can no longer hold down two jobs and work six days a week solid for the rest of my life.... I need a break! I have not had weekends since I was 16years old so you can imagine I took full advantage of a lazy Sunday today; my first day off from Boots!

The girlies at work all pitched into a collection and bought the following as a fairwell gift....

Front Cover Nail Varnish Gift Set

Statement Ring

Feather Earrings

How sweet were they? I love them all and I will miss every single one of them, they were like my very own Sunday family!! I will also miss my staff discount card too :o(

New Hair Regime: Aphogee Products

Hi All!!

I don't tend to do many posts about my hair and actually I don't think I've ever done a post about what I use in my daily/weekly regime. So I thought I would as I have been using some new products. I have started using products from the Aphogee hair range which I have research online via reviews and youtube videos.

This product is supposed to be amazing for people who suffer from damaged hair and get quite alot of breakage. Not only is this brand a great way of regaining healthy hair but also maintaining it.

Here are the following products that I have added to my hair routine and what they do:

Two Step Protein Treatment

What the website states:
"This unique treatment is formulated with magnesium and modified proteins which fuse into the hair with the application of heat. The result is that breakage is drastically reduced. ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment is a salon service product unlike any product available for at-home use. During the process, ApHogee treatment hardens into the hair, dramatic evidence that something special is occurring. For best results a hooded dryer is required. After rinsing and moisturizing with ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer, clients are astounded with the results. ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment can help improve other salon services as well.

This remedial process is highly recommended for hair that:
- Is too weak or fine to take a perm or relaxer. (use the week PRIOR to service)
- Is over-bleached.
- Will not hold color. (use PRIOR to color application)
- Breaks when combed or brushed.
- Is mushy when wet and brittle after drying."

Balancing Moisturiser

What the website states:
"Apply on clean hair in shower and rinse to provide and seal in moisture, which is essential for the strength and elasticity of healthy hair. Balancing Moisturizer contains ApHogee’s exclusive Pro-Phytamine complex, a blend of collagen amino acids, emollients, vitamin derivatives and herbal extracts. It helps protect styles in humidity and is recommended as a regimen for processed hair, dryness and the ends of long hair. It is a MUST for use following ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment"

Shampoo for Damaged Hair

What the website states:
"This rich, luxurious shampoo cleans gently and will not harm color, perm or relaxer services. Proteins, emollients and vitamins restore sheen and pliability to hair damaged by chemicals and heat. ApHogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair is recommended for everyday use on color treated and damage-prone hair. Safe for daily use as well as on extensions, weaves and hair color"

Keratin Green Tea Restructturizer"

What the website states:
"Apply to wet or dry hair without rinsing. This one step formula combines the strengthening properties of keratin protein with the antioxidant benefits of green tea. It helps reduce breakage and split ends and adds body to limp, lifeless hair. Active ingredients bond into the hair shaft with natural body heat or heat from styling tools. ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer is especially recommended for at home care of relaxed or permed hair and may be used between shampoos during touch up styling. It also protects hair color"

I have to say I am impressed with these products already and I have only used the shampooing products about 2/3 times. But I have used the spray almost everyday. I will write a complete review of this is in about 6 weeks time as this is how long I believe it will take to see a big change in the growth and the regain of a full head of health hair.

I will say that I am mainly doing this as the left side of my hair is in poor condition to the rest of my hair. Madness I know but I have more breakage there then anywhere else and this is my only answer to sorting it out basically.

So give me some time and I will get back at you with a full complete review of the product and my results. If you do need some reviews on the products NOW then check out youtube, this is where I started!!

Spartoo Spotlight: Hunter Wellies

Hi All!!

Another Spartoo spotlight post dedicated to Hunter Wellies! Snow has been forecasted as early as this week in the UK so why not grab yourself some designer wellies to parade around in?

The popularity of Hunter is very high and this brand is worn by the likes of The Queen, Kate Moss and best of all... my mother!! Available in bright colours to suit everyones fashion taste and for every occasion such as gardening, festivals and not forgetting farming! Just take a look at these boots I spotted on the website.....

Hunter Original Tall Violet
£83

Hunter Original Tall Silver
£83

And if you think your feet will be freezing this winter in your Hunter wellies or you already have a pair and they're not doing the trick; then why not purchase some welly socks too..

Hunter Welly Socks
£14

I already have a pair of leopard print wellies, so I don't need another pair for Winter or trips to my future step-fathers farm. But I will be getting some welly socks not only to wear inside my wellies but hopefully any other boots that don't keep my feet as warm and they should do.

I think these would be a get investment in anyones wardrobe and love that they are available in a selection of colours. Who wouldn't want to be wearing the same brand as The Queen? Be warned people the Snow is fast approaching and if your not prepared now don't blame me!! :o)

Haul: Herve Leger Perfume

Hi All!!

I ordered the new fragrance from fashion designer Herve Leger called none other then - Herve Leger Femme. Costing only £20 from the Avon book and let me tell you the scent is AMAZING!

I purchased this after receiving samples of it from a friend and once Richard had a whiff of it, he adored it. Literally the whole night all he said to me was 'my god you smell gorgeous' which is always nice to hear rather then the opposite hehe! The scent is described as:

"Enticing freshness, exotic florals and addictive honeyed woods wrap you in seduction"

So I decided to order it and here it is.....

Whats even better is that because I purchased this out of the Avon book I was given the gift set for FREE......

How good is this offer? And it will also make a lovely little gift for someone this Christmas ;o)

Why not visit the Avon website and purchase it yourself. The is a new free gift offer with it this month so have fun!

Spartoo: Bronx Review

Hi All!!

Here is my latest review of an item receive from the guys over at Spartoo.

As it is getting colder as each day passes, this means we are changing our wardrobes to prepare ourselves for the temperatures that greet us outside. Now me personally I am not a fan of this time of year; weather wise. So any items of clothing I can wear to keep me snug are welcomed into my wardrobe. This was my inspiration when I was taking a look at the site given the opportunity to order something to review again.

I came across the urban styled brand Bronx and these boots caught my eye.....

Bronx Solid Grey Boots
£128

They arrived within four days of confirmation of my order....

As you can see they are not a disappointment. Although they are more of a ditressed look to that of the photo shown on the website, this is a bonus for me as I love items like that.

Made from real Shearling and Leather they are worth every penny to keep your feet warm...

Yes they are as comfy as they look, are you surprised that I have worn these three times already?

The description given for these boots on Spartoo is:

Stay warm this winter while staying in style: this is everyone's goal. That's why Bronx has designed these simple boots that are incredibly versatile with a fur-lined interior. They are just perfect!

It's perfect!!
I will be mostly teaming these up with leggings, jumper dresses and denim skirts throught Winter so keep you eyes peeled for outfit posts including these!

What are your thoughts?

Currently Loving: Funky Nail Art

Hi All!!

I am not sure about you guys but at the moment I am really into funky nail art! I usually get quite basic and simple looks when I have my nail extensions done By Dawn (My boyfriends sister) But I think next time I go, which is next month I will be getting something really funky!

I am loving looks such as these......

All images sourced from Google

*Wowzer*

Every now and then a simple french manicure looks elegant and lovely. But I want to go wild this time. I'm thinking of going for something along the silver and navy blue theme to match my xmas party outfit. Any suggestions?

Rare Fashion: Paprika Range

Hi All!!

In case you hadn't noticed the guys over at Rare Fashion have recently launched a new brand on their website which is called....... Paprika! If you haven't had chance to view the range then please don't hesitate to have a look!! It really is a lovely range with a little bit of everything to suit the usual Rare fans!

It describes itself as:

"A breath of fresh air fashion showcasing it's Autumn/Winter styles for 16-26 year olds. The younger clothing range offers cool catwalk trends, dresses, jackets, tops and skirts"

I do agree, some items do seem for the younger generation - I seem to say this as though I am older then 26 years old, in fact I am 24 but not far from it. I can imagine younger girls wearing this range but I also feel that there are other items that the ladies my age and above 26 would wear also. Although a small range to start it does have a little bit of everything providing items for daytime wear as well as for the night.

Here are a few items that caught my eye....

Also please be aware that some items currently included in the 20% off promotion, so if you see something you like take advantage now!!!

What are your thoughts of this range?
