Nails: Dior Addict Nail Colour

Hi All!

I was looking through my nail polish collection and totally forgot I owned this; Dior Addict one-coat nail polish in rose '580'. I've had it for a about two/three years and I remember buying it at an end of season sale at the House of Fraser, Christian Dior counter for about £6!!! It's not gunky or anything, so I thought i'd put it on tonight and it applied very well. It's a lovely subtle rose/brown shade which is slightly darker then the photo I have taken. Although it states it only needs one coat, applying two coats max helps achieve a rich full shade and it dried pretty quick unlike some other polishes I have tried.

Overall i'm very pleased with the application and shade and will hopefully have an update for you on it's life span so watch this space! Until then, anything you guys forgot you owned that you recently re-discovered?

"This day was a total waste of make-up"

Hi All!!

So I woke up yesterday with a bad eye and since then it's gotten much worse. I wear contact lenses and decided to take out the one lense yesterday to help my eye clear up. I've worn lenses for about 4/5 years and have never had a problem with them. also own the type of lenses that you are able to sleep in because im quite lazy like that and hate taking them out when I have false nails on!!!!

Unfortunately taking out the lense didn't help at all so I went into work today and spoke with the Pharmacist and he recommended I go home because I have Conjunctivitis and it's contagious! He gave me some Optrex infected eye drops and hayfever tablets to help clear up my eye. It irritates me every now and then and I look kinda vile lol!! I've also had to throw away my MaxFactor false lash effect mascara.. boo!!! :o(

Here is my gammy eye:

How minging :o)

*UPDATE*
Yup you guess it, it has now spread to my other eye!!!!! I had a nap and woke up with the other eye infected via the use of my mascara *woe is me* :o( No lenses for a week, I knew I should have bought some new glasses back in March.. now im wearing my 5 yr old glasses that I can just aboutt see through.....blah!! x

Review: Isoplus Natural Remedy: Advocado Oil Conditioner

Hi All!!

Product:
Isoplus Natural Remedy: Advocado Oil Conditioner
(Anti-Breakage hair and scap revitalizer)

It's Purpose:
A natural conditioner that helps stimulate the scalp and hair, promoting healthy, vibrant hair and scalp. Carrot oil has been added as a key ingredient to help strengthen hair. Nourishes hair and scalp. Strengthens hair. Helps stimulate hair growth. Moisturises dry, damaged hair.

Directions:
As hair conditioner: apply a medium amount into hair.
As scalp conditioner: section hair and apply to scalp, massage with fingertips or by brushing.

My thoughts:
Having used this product for nearly two years on my chemically straightened hair (relaxed) I have to say it has never let me down. As a multi purpose product I can use this to smooth my hair ready to style and also to moisturise my scalp as and when it needs it. My hair feels instantly healthy and looks shiny once applied and would definately recommend it for dry scalps and/orhair. It also has a lovely smell and a big bonus is its very cheap from any black beauty/hair shop, retailing around £2-£3. *Thumbs up*

Tag: Tattoos!!!

Hi All!!

So i've seen some girlies do different sorts of tags on all sorts of topics, but i've yet to see a tattoo tag! Basically im going start by tagging all of you who are fabulous followers of mine and you can either choose to tag a handful of followers or your whole followers list and ask:

1. Do you have any tattoos, if so how many and where?
2. What is the meaning/story behind your ink?
3. Do you think you'll have any more?
4. And if you dont, do you plan on getting any?
(Post photos)

I might aswell start off...

1. Yes I have two tattoos (and counting); on my ankle and the top of my spine.

2. My first is musical notes which I had done when I was 19, it cost £35 an took 10 minutes to complete. I am not a big fan of pain and I was very nervous before hand; it even took me a whole hour just to book my tattoo in the shop the week before let alone sit in the chair and have it done! I felt so silly once the tatto artist Spike started it, very bearable as it hurt maybe twice? The reason I got this is because it is a symbol of my love for music! I've grew up playing three instruments and singing, and I think it also symbolises my love for creativity... I could not live without music!

My second is a lightning bolt which I got last year aged 21, a week before my 22nd birthday. It cost £40 and took 20 minutes to complete. I do not know why, but I have a weird liking for lightning bolts, I always have. So I had the idea one day to look up the meaning behind it and found that it symbolises quite a few things: power & strength, unpredictable nature and the light of truth. As soon as I saw these I knew it meant something to me and so after weeks and weeks of 'umming' and 'aaahing' about where to have it I finally decided and plucked up the courage to book it.

3. I'd like to think i'll get more, I really want a Peacock or a Peacock feather somewhere. I know a whole peacock is a huge step, but i adore these creatures so much!! I've been told a few times if i was an animal i'd either be a male Peacock because I tend to show off alot (typical only child lol) or a Tiger because of the way I scan a room when I enter it LOL!!! I've also had thoughts of a few small silhouette of birds flying away.. somewhere?

So there you have it!! Once you've answered the questions and posted photos, make sure you post links back to the person who tagged you and post a comment on their post to say you've tagged them! (So in this instance you will link back/comment me.) I just wanna be nosey and see what everyone has, plus it should give our blogs some exposure to those who haven't come across it yet!
So have fun :o)

Hi All!

I had a girly night out last night and heres the outfit I put together...

Headband: Primark
Blouse: Primark
Belt: My moms (unsure of brand)
Skirt (actually a boob tube): Primark
Shoes: River Island

Yes you read right, I am wearing a boob tube as a skirt, I do not currently own a body con skirt, which I should by now, but it does the trick just as well :o) I was going for a elegant look, and I think its brill I managed to achieve this look at bargain prices... even my shoes were in sale when I bought them!

Unfortunately there are no up close photos of my make-up, I didn't have time to before going out, you know how it is sometimes! Hope you liked my outfit anyways.

Well I officially completed my first week *yay* I must say I am throughly enjoying working there and although im learning things from scratch I think im picking up on things great! Im rarely around the deceased people, but I have been in contact with them and their families which has been ok, sometimes hard but its my job and someones got to do it!

Anyways enough of that, the point of the blog was to show you that although I work in a funeral directors there is no pacific dress code we just have to dress smart. So heres one of the outfits from this week:

I thought it was stylish but smart for my first day

And close up of how I painted my face:

No7 liquid liner

Here is another make-up look from this week:

Site of the Month

Site of the month is Lollipops....

This month doubles up as site/store of the month purley because Lollipops do not currently deliver to the UK but they do have two outlets in the UK which are; Liverpool and Derby.
I recently went to Derby as a shopping treat with my daddy (aww! a rare occasion i may add) and he treated me to a few bits and bobs, but by the time we were about to leave, and i'd bought quite enough; i stumbled upon this gem of a store!! The decor and interior of the store is just as kawaai as the website, filled with alot of antique designed furniture and chandeliers I was absolutley gutted i had zero amount of money to spend.

WARNING: I must advise that the website is nothing compared to the experience you get instore! The bags, in my opinion, on the website are quite a let down considering the bags that were available to buy instore. However the shoes instore were quite lush :0)

Oh well i guess another shopping trip is due to Derby or Liverpool to purchase a few bits and bobs just to prove what items you can find. But if you ever get a chance to visit these two cities, take a look in store!

Haul

Hi all!!

So my recent buys are as follows:

Boots Vitamin E Toner and Cleansing lotion
Primark headbands and clutch

I originally went to Primark for gold/brone headbands but as i browsed around i felt myself drawn to a bag all on its own on the shelf. It was indeed a brown faux snakeskin effect 2 in 1 clutch and although i wasn't initially feeling the urge to buy the bag, i picked it up anyways for a closer inspection and to my amazement it was reduced from £5 down to £2.!!!! After seeing this I definately found the urge to buy it. I already have the same style of clutch in white from Oasis circa 2007 and i LOVE it, so to own it in brown now is fab. Here is the bag in question....

I picked up the headbands i originally wanted too....

I also popped into my second work aka Boots for my lunch, I was due a free meal deal because of the advantage card offer. (When you buy 5 meal deals, you get the 6th free) Whilst looking in the skincare section I found that the Boots own range E Vitamin is currently on a half price offer, and this small but in my opinion; effective range is already dirt cheap. The range includes face wipes, toner, cleanser, face cream etc which are all priced around 60p-£1. I've been meaning to buy some more of the Boots Cucumber 2in1 cleanser and toner to put in a beauty bag to keep at my boyfriends but after seeing this offer I bought these instead....

(Gimo getting in on some posing action as per usual *rolls eyes*)

Oh and when i go home, the mother bought this for me from WH.Smiths for £2.99. It's a CD box, but i'v put some of my ever growing designer jewellery in there instead...

So there you have it, my recent haul. Not much but there you go!

Trends: Arm Candy

Hi All!!

So as pre-determined by Vogue magazine, "this seasons most desirable arm candy is decorative and small". I am a big fan of arm candy and i own quite a few pieces, 40 to be exact (wowzer i didnt realise it was that many until i counted them all lol!!) I own them in a range of styles, colours and sizes.. from clutches to overnight bags. Now is the time to stock up cute, unique pieces for the summer.

I believe every fashionista should own at least one item from the following list and here are my reasons why....

Clutches
I own a few of these stunners but I have to say, I could do with alot more. A clutch should always compliment an evening outfit, without this form of accessory an outfit is simply not complete. Clutches are always best served with a side order of matching heels and/or a possible matching belt/accessories.

Shoulder Bags
I rarely use these small bags purely because i cannot fit all my essential items in them such as my purse, umbrella, diary, keys.. you get the picture! But if im making a quick trip to the shops or the pub then these are the ideal bag. If a woman can use one of these for everyday use and have the ability to fit all of her essentials in there without needing to leave something out... then high five!!!

Designer Bags
Who doesn't love a bit a of Designer? I'm sure no one put their hand up then!! I sure do, owning bags by Dior, D&G, Diane Von Furstenburg, Gucci and Fenn Wright Mason, it has to be said i could not live without a designer bag in my wardrobe. You may be paying for the label, but your not going to see a ton of other ladies walking around wearing your exact arm candy and think... do i pull it off better then her?

Oversized Bags
Mainly for everyday use to take with you to work, university or shopping; oversized bags are a great fashion accessory. You can put almost everything in them and they can't be missed, so if your going to use them then make a statement and go for bold, bright, unique styles.

Overnight Bags
So your going away for the weekend, or your spending a night at your fella's, it doesn't mean you can't carry your pj's in style! Besides the usual suitcases, alot of high street retailers offer you fabulous overnight bags big enough for short trips away so take advantage. I personally enjoy carrying my pj's around in a bowlers style bag by Von Dutch or a mini suitcase by Diane Von Furstenburg; both bought from TK Maxx at bargain prices!!

Recycled/Canvass/Straw Bags
Help save the world and buy a shopper bag instead of using plastic bags from retailers. You can now buy them almost anywhere, i own two from ASOS and French Connection and i think their brill. If you can find one with a slogan on them then thats even better. Aside from these bags being a fashion statement, they also show you actually care about the environment.
