The Rockettes have a new website!!!

Hi All!!

I have finally sorted out The Rockettes new website if you are interested in taking a peek at it just click here!!!

I think it looks so much better then our old one considering I created it right from scratch and we just need to sort out our domain now.

Incase you didn't know this is the girl group I sing with and we cover the West Midlands and beyond given the opportunity. We sing the hits from the fabulous Tamla Motown era and also hits from the 40's right through to the 80's! We have spaces for gigs if anyone knows any pubs/clubs/private functions looking for a 'party band' so send myself an email or contact us through our Rockettes email which is located on our website.

There are some live video recordings on out site also; silly of Richard but you can hear him having a laugh and joke about us in our Burlesque perfomance haha! Nevermind eh :)

The Rockettes at the Burlesque Showcase

Hi All!!

As mentioned in my previous post The Rockettes performed at a Burlesque Showcase Friday night alongside Burlesque dancers and musicians. Doing what we do best we performed a 30 minute set singing some of the best hits associated with this style such as 'Hey Big Spender' 'Lady Marmalade' 'Fever' and 'All that Jazz' to name a few.

Today I attended a wedding fayre with my Rockettes to hopefully add performing at Weddings onto our CV as a girl group. I thought i'd show you what I wore after the fayre finished....

So me and the girlies in The Rockettes are adding a 1940's section to our singlist of hits through the decades to our shows. And with that, suitable attire for this decade had to be sorted and this is what I will be wearing.....

The Rockette's 'Big Night Out' Charity Event Photos!

Hi All!!


So our charity event for Macmillan Cancer and British Heart Foundation took place last weekend and it was a great success!! We raised.....

£1,325.65

I am so proud to have been apart of it and to raise that amount is fantastic!! We actually ran out of raffle tickets on the night and and to go and buy more haha! The venue was a sell out and some people had to stand because there were not enough seats!! We have now split the money in half and sent both cheques to the charities now which is fantastic!

I just wanted to share the good news and show you some photo's of the night...

In between us performing I wore the colours of both charities Green and Red in support of them, but as you can see in the last photo I had to take my heels because my feet hurt so bad! Hosting an event is not easy, we were all knakerd by the end of the night.

It was all worth it in the end!

The Rockettes Charity 'Big Night Out'

Hi All!

First if all thank you for reading this post, it means a lot to me ♥

I wanted to share with you the news that The Rockettes and I have organised our first charity event. We are holding a night out for family, friends and anyone who is interested in support of two great charities:
♥ Macmillan Cancer Support
♥ British Heart Foundation

We have confirmed some great acts to perform at the event alongside us such as:
♥ Stiltwalkers
♥ Michael Buble/Robbie Williams 'Kings of swing' tribute
♥ Burlesque Dance act
♥ Reggae band 'Progression'
&&& many more!!

There will be food, raffle prize draws and a disco so it is a guaranteed fab night out! We have also been featured in our local newspaper the Express & Star....

The point of this post was to spread the word of our night for two great causes. I appreciate many of my readers are nowhere near Kingswinford which is where the event will be held but if by any chance you feel youu would like to donate to either of the charities you are more then welcome to do this.

I've joined a tribute girl group 'The Rockettes'

Hi All!!

I briefly mentioned in a previous post that I have joined a tribute girl group. I thought I would post about it in a bit more detail though. We are a three piece girl group tributing to the decades from the 50's right through to the 80's. We are based in the West Midlands and are called; The Rockettes.

The group is made up of Bryony, Heidi and myself. Originally starting off in September the other two girls started performing in the group and when the previous third member decided to leave as a result I joined in November.

This has been one of the best decisions I have ever made because I have always wanted to do this; I adore singing but never had the confidence to go out and perform. Luckily I now get to do what I love and performing with two amazing girls makes it even more fun!

We were super busy over the Christmas period and have grown so much in our talents and stage presence. I hope we get to do this for a long time, we are already being booked up this year and have some exciting opportunities coming up so watch this space!!
