Joe Browns: Hippie Dresses

Hi All!!

We are not all into the same style, so sometimes I think it's nice to post a lil something for those with a quirky sense of style. And we all know that dresses are a hard thing to buy. You tend to go on a trip to find a dress, spend all day looking and end up buying the first one you saw. Typical! So perhaps you should find your style and then you are narrowing the amount of dresses you have to look through.

Hippie Dress
I am a fan of Hippie Clothing believe it or not, particularlyHippie Dresses. Long flowing fabric with plenty of room to breathe is what I ask for in a dress, especially in the Summer.

Full Length Dress
Full length dresses are high on my list. Joe Browns has a number of long dresses that are perfect for those with a quirky style. This includes the Party Nights Dress and the All Seasons Dress. These are complete opposites but both perfect.

Party Dress
The Party Nights Dress is black and grey with a corset fastening at the back. It has a three tiered skirt made of lace fabric. The bodice is a satin look fabric that scoops down to reveal a little cheeky cleavage.

All Seasons Dress
The All Seasons Dress is made of a stunning fabric. It does look like all the seasons put together. It has long sleeves and a full skirt, making it an ideal winter dress with a cardigan and boots and it can be just as stylish in the summer with a pair of sandals.

Versatility is another must on my dress hunt. I like to get value for money and feel like I can wear it more than once. I see no point in buying a dress for one occasion and then never wearing it again, except perhaps your wedding dress. There is always a way to adapt and make your dress look completely different to when you wore it before.

Even if Hippie Clothing is not your style you can still follow my advice in finding your style, finding your favourite shape of dress and then go from there. It really does eliminate the stressful dress shopping fiasco that so many of us find ourselves in so often.

Review: Paprika Dress

Hi All!!

I was offered the chance to be gifted an item from the new Paprika range at Rare Fashion to review for you guys. I decided to choose something different to what I usually wear again and went for this....

One sleeve dress

It arrived very quickly and I was so excited when I saw the packaging, this is a bonus from Rare as you always know if your order has arrived when you see this bag....

I wore it out last night to an engagement party and its so floaty and flirty and very comfy to be out and about it. I teamed it up with a waist belt and shoe boots to add that something extra to it....

This photo actually makes it look huge on me and if I had of tried it on in store I might have ordered it a size smaller but this was a size 8 already that I did order and lets face it i'm no size 6. I'm not too sure whats going on with the sizing?! But I can assure you it didn't look ridiculous on me, I had taken a photo when it first arrived...

The shoeboots I wore.....

The downside of this dress is that now that it's Winter I had to wear a coat and ear muffs too hehee....

My last day at Boots: Leaving Gifts!

Hi All!!

I had my last shift at Boots last week Sunday after seven years of service!!! It was an emotional day but it had to be done as I can no longer hold down two jobs and work six days a week solid for the rest of my life.... I need a break! I have not had weekends since I was 16years old so you can imagine I took full advantage of a lazy Sunday today; my first day off from Boots!

The girlies at work all pitched into a collection and bought the following as a fairwell gift....

How sweet were they? I love them all and I will miss every single one of them, they were like my very own Sunday family!! I will also miss my staff discount card too :o(
